The activities organised at La P’tite Maison are entirely determined by our programming committe, made up of members, neighborhood citizens and organizations. This committee meets four times a year, in order to diversify the selection of activities offered. Thus, the selected activities have the following functions :
Coffe meetings give members of La P’tite Maison and citizens of Saint-Pierre the chance to meet, in a semi-formal context, stakeholders who works in organizations and institutions in their community.
These opportunities allow citizens to voice their concerns and find answers to their questions about topics such as neighborhood safety, tenant rights and responsibilities, low-cost food, and more.

During the economic cooking workshops, our facilitator shares her cooking knowledge (at low cost). She also gives advice on how to make good recipes at a low price. Our members come together to cook a meal with food from La P’tite Maison which are gifts or low-cost food. This is a good opportunity to share tips for saving more during your daily grocery shopping.
Once a week, the doors are open to residents of Saint-Pierre in order to share a good soup or spaghetti that has been prepared by our volunteers! It is a beautiful moment of meeting between the citizens of the district. We also take advantage of this happy gathering to discover the other activities offered at La P’tite Maison.

Each party becomes a great opportunity to promote La P’tite Maison to citizens and to share a moment with the residents of Saint-Pierre!
In order to put forward their creativity, our members offered to tinker with handcrafted material. Their creations are mainly used to decorate La P’tite Maison during special events but also to make advertising posters and beautify the walls of the thrift store. In short, hours of fun for adults and children alike!
During this workshop, a member introduces participants to knitting and crochet. In addition to having a good time, our apprentice knitters leave with their creation, which will hopefully protect them from the cold in winter!
