Since September 2017, La P’tite Maison has been involved in a new project funded by the Child Policy, in partnership with the Revitalisation Saint-Pierre organization. A project manager participated in developing this project aimed at better welcoming and integrating new residents who settle in the neighborhood, so as to strengthen the social fabric and thus encourage citizens to settle in Saint-Pierre. The main objective of this project was therefore to reach new residents who arrived in the neighborhood in the last 3 years and then to develop strategies to put them in contact with the resources available to them.
Achievements:
A committee of 10 volunteer citizens involved in the realization of the project
Home delivery of more than 50 welcome baskets containing gifts and information on the community services and resources
Several activities organized for families: Welcome evening, distribution of winter clothes, cooking activities, meetings and visits to organizations, information workshops (housing, integration), etc.
